The minimum wage is the lowest salary that can legally be paid to an employee in Turkey, set by the Minimum Wage Determination Commission and published in the Official Gazette. In 2026 the gross minimum wage is TRY 33,030 per month and the net minimum wage is TRY 28,075.50. This tool shows the daily and hourly equivalents, the total employer cost, and — via the multiplier input — the net pay for any multiple of the minimum wage, all from sourced official parameters.
How is it calculated?
- The monthly gross is the daily gross times 30: in 2026 the daily gross is TRY 1,101, the monthly gross TRY 33,030.
- The hourly gross is the monthly gross divided by the monthly working time of 225 hours.
- Deductions: employee social security (14%) and unemployment insurance (1%) are withheld from gross. The portion of any salary corresponding to the minimum wage is exempt from income tax and stamp duty, so a minimum-wage earner pays neither; what remains is the net minimum wage.
- With a multiplier, the gross is scaled and the net is computed month by month through the gross-to-net engine. Since only the part above the minimum wage is taxed, net pay does not scale linearly with the multiplier.
- The employer cost adds employer social security (21.75%) and employer unemployment contributions (2%) on top of gross. Conditional employer premium discounts are not included.

Example
Suppose a job offer is "1.5 times the minimum wage". The gross salary is 1.5 times the 2026 gross minimum wage of TRY 33,030. The net, however, comes out slightly below 1.5 times the net minimum wage, because the portion above the minimum wage is subject to income tax and stamp duty. Enter 1.5 as the multiplier and the tool lists the gross, January net, daily and hourly gross, and the employer cost in one table.
Frequently asked questions
How much is the minimum wage in Turkey in 2026?
The net minimum wage is TRY 28,075.50 per month and the gross minimum wage is TRY 33,030 in 2026. The amounts are set by the Minimum Wage Determination Commission, published in the Official Gazette, and apply from 1 January.
What are the daily and hourly minimum wage amounts?
The daily gross minimum wage is TRY 1,101 in 2026. The hourly gross equals the monthly gross divided by 225 working hours per month; the tool's result table shows it.
Is the minimum wage taxed in Turkey?
No; the portion of any salary up to the minimum wage is exempt from income tax and stamp duty. A minimum-wage earner only has employee social security (14%) and unemployment insurance (1%) withheld.
How much does a minimum-wage employee cost the employer?
On top of the gross salary, the employer pays employer social security (21.75%) and employer unemployment contributions (2%); the tool shows the total as "monthly employer cost". Conditional premium discounts can lower this and are not included.
What is the multiplier input for?
It lets you express a salary in minimum wages: enter 2 to see the net pay for a gross of twice the minimum wage. Because the part above the minimum wage is taxed, the net is somewhat less than twice the net minimum wage.
How often does the minimum wage change?
As a rule it is set once a year, effective in January; the commission can reconvene during the year, and in some recent years a second adjustment was made in July. Historical amounts by year are listed on ZenKalk's minimum-wage archive page, and this page is updated from the parameter store the day any change takes effect.
